Add the length & width of quilt together, then multiply by 2. Then add 10" to make sure you have enough to connect the two ends. Divide by 36" and it will give you the amount of yards you will need.

Example: 50" + 65" = 115" x 2 = 230" + 10" = 240" / 36= 6.666 yards 6 ? yards total needed.
